With more than 90 hours of produced network television, five books of poetry and five plays to his credit, as well as numerous awards and nominations, Andrew has a wealth of knowledge about the modern Canadian television industry.

The Giller Prize Goes West

In an exciting first, Creative Writing will co-host this year’s announcement of the Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist with the Vancouver Writers Fest on Monday, September 16 at 8:00 a.m. in UBC’s Museum of Anthropology. Never before has a Giller event been staged outside of Toronto; the location of this announcement symbolizes the growing influence of the West Coast literary community and UBC Creative Writing’s place at its heart.
