Nathan Adler is author of Wrist, and Ghost Lake (Kegedonce Press), and co-editor of Bawaajigan ~ Stories of Power (Exile Editions), he has an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC, is recipient of an Indigenous Voices Award, and a Hnatyshyn Reveal award, and teaches Creative Writing at Kwantlen University. He is Jewish and Anishinaabe, and a member of Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation.

Gawiin Gego won an Experimental Audio Award, ImagiNative Festival Oct. 2020
Love After The End, won a 2021 Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ Anthology (I have a short story called “Abacus” in this Anthology)

Have been asked to teach a class at Kwantlen University called “Writing for Horror” starting in January 2022

How did your time in the Creative Writing Program influence your work?
My short story collection was written before/during and after my time at UBC, and a lot of writing craft that I learned was used in writing this book. I have many other writing projects that I began writing at UBC that I would like to finish.
