- Breaking In: Stories of first books, other publications, projects. Share your story, and hear how others found their first successes as writers.
- Day Jobs: Share and hear how people have made their way as writers in the world, whether it’s through editing, teaching, communications, or in other fields.
- Media: Connect with UBC CRWR writers working in film, TV, advertising, or other forms of media. Moderated by
- Going public: Talk with other writers about how to approach the public side of the writing life, whether it’s festivals, speaking engagements, book tours, or social media posts.
- Crossing genres: Has your writing life taken you in unexpected directions–into poetry, nonfiction, or YA? Did you fall in love with a new genre during your time at UBC? Talk with other writers about the pleasures of discovering and blending work across genres.
