UBC Creative Writing professor Steven Galloway has been shortlisted for the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize. This annual award for the best work of fiction published in Canada is worth $25,000. The award winner will be announced on November 4th.
Two UBC alumni have been shortlisted for the 2014 Writers’ Trust/McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize, which recognizes the author of the best short story published in a Canadian literary journal or magazine. Congratulations to nominees Lori McNulty (Monsoon Season), and Clea Young (Juvenile). The winner will also be announced November 4th.
