UBC Creative Writing Members Shortlisted for 2020 BC and Yukon Book Prizes



We are very proud to announce that members of UBC’s Creative Writing Program have been shortlisted for the 2020 BC and Yukon Book Prizes! Two faculty members and four alumni have been selected:

The winners will be announced on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver.

The prestigious prizes that CRWR’s members have been shortlisted for include:

  • The Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize
  • The Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize
  • The Jim Deva Prize for Writing That Provokes
  • The Roderick Haig-Brown Regional Prize

Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize:
Awarded to the author(s) of the best work of poetry.
