(Toronto) Penguin Random House Canada is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with the UBC Creative Writing Program. The partnership will include Penguin Random House Canada /Hazlitt-sponsored scholarships for the program, the creation of a new non-fiction course, and production assistance in publishing the UBC Creative Writing Program’s 50th anniversary anthology, Naked in Academe. The $75,000, three-year commitment will commence with the 2013-2014 academic year.

The scholarships will help to nurture the next generation of Canadian writers while the creation of the new non-fiction course will offer important training and guidance into new opportunities available for writers.
