Congratulations to Joseph Boyden for winning the 2014 CBC Canada Reads competition. Joseph currently teaches in the Optional-Residency MFA 
program at UBC.
Joseph’s novel The Orenda was pitted in the competition against four other Canadian books, including Margaret Atwood’s The Year of the Flood and Esi Edugyan’s Giller Prize-winning novel Half-Blood Blues. The National Post explores the contest and the win in an interview with Joseph.
