Just announced: CLASS of 2016: On Stage! is UBC’s Baccalaureate Concert re-imagined for the UBC 100 Centennial celebrations. This year the event features talented students from throughout the UBC Arts & Culture District, including three Creative Writing graduates: Clara Kumagai reading from her YA/Children’s novel, and Alison Braid and Hava Rosenberg, reading their poetry.
You’ll enjoy music, theatre, film, poetry, and prose prepared and presented by graduating students from UBC’s class of 2016.
Come early and hear a special centennial medley performed by a jazz septet made up of students and faculty of the UBC School of Music. Celebrating 100 Years of Popular Song at UBC includes tunes selected from each decade of the last 100 years woven together and arranged by Fred Stride to celebrate UBCs landmark anniversary. Historical images of UBCs creative and performing arts will be shown in the theatre during the medley.
