We’re thrilled to announce our most recent cohort of MFA graduates! To celebrate this huge accomplishment, we’ve compiled a special showcase to share a little about them and their thesis projects.
Our November 2023 showcase includes 11 MFA graduates with thesis projects in fiction, including fantasy, new weird, literary and middle-grade, two television series, and a short story collection.
Whether combining elements of horror and magic to explore surveillance, perseverance and relationships between women, using a world of sorcery to explore a protagonist’s troubled psyche, following the relationship between a gay trans couple learning to trust one another, or sharing the story of three generations of women in a Singaporean-Canadian family, these graduates prompt us to reconsider our everyday experiences and how we interact with others.

About the Graduate Showcase
The Graduate Showcase is a highlighted section of our website featuring profiles of our MFA grads in support of their publication and production goals. We have two showcases per year – one for May graduation and one for November graduation. Each showcase remains available for a year.
Each profile includes a photo, a brief bio, and a summary of the graduate’s thesis project. Each profile also includes a contact function to allow agents, editors or producers to connect with graduates if they’re interested in knowing more about the project.
