Join us on Monday, April 1 at Hood 29 (formerly Cottage Bistro) from 7 to 9pm for what promises to be an evening of invigorating literary delights, featuring stand-up comedian and storyteller Savannah Erasmus, readers Jaz Papadopoulos and Shazia Hafiz Ramji from UBC’s Creative Writing program, and John Mavin, Raoul Fernandes and Dayna Mahannah from SFU’s The Writer’s Studio.
Savannah Erasmus is an Indigenous storyteller and comedian from Kikino, Alberta. Sav began performing stand up comedy to speak about her experience as an Indigenous woman and laugh at her damn self! She is the co-producer and co-host of the monthly show Millennial Line, which features diverse lineups of emerging poets and comedians.
This event takes place on the unceded Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish people.
Accessibility:
The Cottage Bistro is wheelchair-accessible, with no stairs at the entrance, and a variety of seating. The path to the washrooms is a little narrow, but wide enough to be accessible via wheelchair according to the venue. Washrooms are single use.
