We’re pleased to announce that we will once again be running a writing program this summer – now fully online!
This special hybrid course will be a multi-genre, generative workshop taught by Zac Hug, a Los Angeles-based TV writer who teaches in our Distance Education MFA program and is himself a proud MFA alum. The course content is geared towards BFA and MFA students and alumni from all eras, but registration is open to everyone.

We’re offering an Early Bird Rate of $675 CAD plus 5% GST until May 20.
The regular rate kicks in on May 21 at $750 CAD plus 5% GST.

Course Details
This dynamic 10-day hybrid course combines the best of both worlds: live, instructor-led sessions and flexible, self-paced learning. The program runs fully online from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 13, featuring:
- Synchronous sessions held on weekends — Friday through Sunday, designed for real-time interaction, collaboration and expert guidance. Sessions will be recorded in case you’re not able to attend.
- Asynchronous learning during weekdays allows participants to engage with course materials, complete assignments and reflect at their own pace.
This format is ideal for anyone seeking a structured yet flexible learning experience that fits into a busy schedule (or vacation plans!).
