Sarah Yi-Mei Tsiang is the author of the poetry books Status Update (2013), which was nominated for the Pat Lowther Award and the Gerald Lampert award winning Sweet Devilry (2011). She has been widely anthologized in such collections as Best of the Best Canadian Poetry (2016), Poet-to-Poet (2013), and Untethered (2018). She is also the editor of the poetry collection, Desperately Seeking Susans (2013).

Sarah is also a children’s writer of picture books, non-fiction, and young adult fiction. Her children’s work has been published and translated internationally, as well as named to the OLA Best Bets for Children 2010, Best Books for Kids & Teens 2011, 2012, & 2013, and the Toronto Public Library’s First and Best Book List (2012), and nominated for Ontario Libraries Association Blue Spruce Award  and the Silver Birch Award. Her children’s titles include A Flock of Shoes, Warriors and Wailers, The Stone Hatchlings, Breathing Fire, The Night ChildrenSugar and Snails, and Toesy Toes. She also worked as a professor of Creative Writing at Sheridan College.
