Crystal Chan is a writer, editor, and producer working in publishing and new media. Chan serves on the executive of the Quebec Writers’ Federation and her writing has been anthologized by Véhicule Press and Guernica Editions. As both a literary writer and a UX/UI/front-end designer, her specialty is merging storytelling and technology. She has led many interactive and transmedia projects, prioritizing decolonial and interdisciplinary works. A former writer-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity in Digital Narratives and Computational Writing, she is currently the creator of an embodied storytelling app for the CBC and an editor at UBC Press’s RavenSpace publishing, an innovative multimedia book series and platform for Indigenous authors and their collaborators.
