A casual monthly movie gathering at UBC curated by Nalo Hopkinson and Whitney French launches its first film “Slash/Back” on Friday, October 31 at 2:00 pm at the Buchanan Tower, Room 225.
There will be free popcorn and drinks and all are welcome. Join us for a movie and guided conversation with UBC’s Schools of Creative Writing’s speculative fiction professors.
About Slash/Back: Maika and her ragtag group of friends discover an alien invasion in their tiny arctic hamlet, and it’s up to them to fight back using makeshift weapons and horror movie knowledge. Slash/Back is a 2022 Canadian Inuit science fiction film directed by Nyla Innuksuk in her feature debut.
