Please join us for a reading and celebration of Keith Maillard as he retires from the School of Creative Wr iting. Current and former colleagues and friends will speak and Maillard wi ll read from his work.
The event takes place on Thursday\, October 16 at 5:00 pm on Zoom.
Over his 35 years at UBC\, Keith se rved as Chair of Creative Writing several times. Under his leadership Creat ive Writing introduced the lecture courses which have been so crucial to th e development and health of the School. In addition to his own novels\, poe try\, and memoirs\, for which he was recognized with the 2024 Lieutenant Go vernor’s Award for Literary Excellence\, Keith mentored generations of emer ging writers.
